Botox is on the public's radar again due to the Netflix
smash hit, Selling Sunset. This Los Angeles-based reality show features
endless celebrities and millionaires buying expensive houses, all while
showing off and gushing about how much they love botox. But this beauty
practice is uglier than it seems. In the European Union (EU) alone, 400,000
animals are purposefully murdered every year, all in the name of botox
testing. And they are killed in some of the most horrific ways imaginable.
These hundreds of thousands of animals die slowly of paralysis while their
little hearts are racing with terror. In the end, they suffocate to death
while still being completely conscious and aware.
The EU has banned animal testing for cosmetic purposes,
but therein lies the loophole. Because botox is injected into and not
applied on top of the skin, it does not fall under the law. As a result, an
astonishing number of animals are tested on and killed every year just for
this one single drug. But botox is overwhelmingly used as a beauty product
to remove wrinkles, and therefore it absolutely should fall under the
cosmetics category. Sign the petition to demand that the European Union
extend its ban on animal testing to include botox!
Thank you for all that you do,
Miranda B.

P.S. There's no reason that animals should be murdered so
that rich humans can avoid wrinkles. Please sign the petition to demand the
European Union takes action.
