            The President of the Philippines proudly compared his reign of 
terror to the Holocaust

                 "Hitler massacred three million Jews... there's three 
million drug addicts [in the Philippines]... I'd be happy to slaughter 
them." These are the words of Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Philippines, 
shortly after he assumed office in 2016. In the four years since then, 
Duterte has thrown himself into making good on this sickening and genocidal 
promise. As of this writing, Duterte's so-called "War on Drugs" has claimed 
the lives of almost 10,000 people — and that's just according to government 
sources. Human rights groups fear the real number could be as high as three 
times that. These individuals are murdered without being given a fair trial, 
officially charged with a crime, or even arrested. And then, in many cases, 
their corpses are unceremoniously tossed into mass graves.

                  Families describe being woken up in the dead of the night 
as heavily-armed state agents descend on their home, pulling a beloved 
parent, sibling, or cousin out into the darkness, never to be seen again. 
The government has alleged that these extrajudicial killings are warranted 
because the humans whose lives they took are supposedly addicted to drugs or 
involved in the illegal drug trade. But most of these charges are falsified, 
and additionally, drug addiction is a disease — not a crime. Civil rights 
groups in the country are begging for international assistance. Sign the 
petition urging the United Nations Human Rights Council to investigate these 
horrific humans rights violations now!

                  P.S. Philippine President Duterte has bragged about 
orchestrating a new genocide in his country. It's time for the United 
Nations to get involved before the bodies pile even higher.
