                        Trump has issued an executive order demanding that the Smithsonian remove exhibits he claims promote "improper ideology." We know what that really means: eliminating anything Trump doesn't like.



                        The Smithsonian was founded nearly 200 years ago to spread knowledge and preserve truth for the public good. It welcomes millions of visitors each year, free of charge. It is not the president's place to dictate what history is shown there. That job belongs to historians and experts — not politicians trying to rewrite the past to serve their own egos and agendas.



                        After the order was announced, the president went onto Truth Social to highlight one of his complaints: that the Smithsonian was putting too much of an emphasis on "how bad Slavery was…"

                        Slavery was and always will be one of the darkest parts of American history, and the task of institutions like the Smithsonian is to ensure we never forget nor stop honoring its victims…lest we go backward.



                        Tell the Smithsonian's Board of Regents to stand firm. Sign the petition demanding they reject Trump's demands and protect the integrity of America's history!
