*[Enwl-eng] Mobilizing Climate Finance: The Role of the Financial Sector in Implementing NDC 3.0 in Kyrgyzstan

Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Kyrgyz 
Republic, we are pleased to extend to you an invitation to participate in 
the upcoming online training entitled “Mobilizing Climate Finance: The Role 
of the Financial Sector in Implementing NDC 3.0 in Kyrgyzstan.”
The consultation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 09:00 to 13:30 
(Bishkek time) and will take place in hybrid format. Zoom link:

This event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, 
Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic and UNDP in 
partnership with Eldik Bank under the Climate Promise initiative. The event 
will bring together representatives from government institutions, commercial 
banks, international experts, and development partners to discuss the role 
of the financial sector in supporting the country’s climate commitments 
under the Paris Agreement.
The training will provide a platform to discuss the priorities of the 
upcoming Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC 3.0), explore current 
trends and best practices in climate finance, identify barriers and 
opportunities for the banking sector, and discuss mechanisms for integrating 
climate considerations into financial decision-making.
