Government employees are trying to fight back - let's help

Donald Trump wants to blow up international
agreement and open the Pacific Ocean to deep sea mining.

This is a massive global emergency with consequences
we can't even imagine: the President of one island in the mining zone calls
it "playing gods with the cradle of life".

Fortunately, the US government department in charge
of the final regulations has insisted on a public comment period. We need as
many people as possible to speak out and give them justification to act
against Trump:

                         Stop Trump's Ocean Destruction

Donald Trump just announced he’s going to open the Pacific Ocean
to deep sea mining!

That means his friends will get permits to vacuum up the ocean
floor, destroy irreplaceable marine life, and make billions – for
destabilizing the entire planet’s ecosystem.

This is the kind of chaos Trump brings. But the government
department in charge of the final regulations has insisted on a public
comment period, which means civil servants who care about the environment
will be reviewing all our objections – and could put a stop to Trump’s plan.

We need as many people as possible to speak out and give them
justification to act:

Sign and share now to save the ocean from Trump!

Scientists estimate there’s an unbelievable 1.5 million
undiscovered species in the ocean. We know next to nothing about the
ecosystem that underpins all life on Earth – it’s like an alien planet right
at home.

That’s why scientists, experts, environmentalists, and everyone
with a heart or a brain has urged extreme caution before greedy
industrialists start mining the deepest, most vulnerable parts of the ocean
for minerals. Almost every country in the world has agreed to caution – but
not the US.

That doesn’t mean we can’t stop this. We’re seeing how courts
and ordinary workers can get in the way of the worst of Trump’s plans. And
this deep sea mining plan affects the entire world – so hearing from across
the world is critical. Most of the ocean floor Trump is targeting isn’t even
in US territorial waters!

The world has to survive 4 years of Trump. If he’s poisoned our
oceans by the time he leaves, his impact will carry on for generations.

Sign and share to stop Trump from destroying the ocean
