*[Enwl-eng] IAMO PhD scholarship on Rural community resilience in Central Asia

Dear colleagues,



Within the Central Asia Rural Community Resilience (CARe) research group at 
IAMO, we have announced a doctoral scholarship. The researcher will explore 
how rural communities respond to shocks, and how collective strategies build 
resilience. This position will be based at IAMO, Halle (Saale), Germany, 
with fieldworks in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan and collaborate 
with the Department of Environmental Sociology at the Martin Luther 
University Halle-Wittenberg, and the Regional Environmental Centre for 
Central Asia (CAREC).



Application deadline is 31 August 2025. More details are in the attached
