98% of this wild horse herd is set to be killed off by the US government, to help ranchers' profits.
U.S. Government Plans to Slaughter 98% of This Wild Horse Herd, Because Profit-Hungry Ranchers Want the Land

The U.S. government — via the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) — has a new plan to kill off 98% of wild horses in an area of Nevada that spans approximately 10,000 acres. Why? Because ranchers want to push horses off this land so they can reclaim it and use it for their cattle-raising meat production efforts.
Right now, this majestic herd of wild, free horses stands at around 518 individuals strong. But under the BLM's new plan, it will cut that number down to only 7 to 10 horses left.
The agency is insisting that this extermination plan is supposedly "safe, efficient, and humane." But rounding up and slaughtering hundreds of innocent animals is not — and never can be — humane.
These horses have the right to live. They're not doing anything wrong! Just because some profit-obsessed, greedy ranchers want the horses' land, doesn't mean the government should be working to exterminate these animals.
Sign the petition to speak out and demand the U.S. Bureau of Land Management abandon its sickening plans to kill off almost an entire herd of wild horses!
Thank you,
Celeste
