government — via the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) —
has <A

of wild horses in an area of Nevada that spans
approximately 10,000 acres.</B></A> Why? Because
ranchers want to push horses off this land so they can
reclaim it and use it for their cattle-raising meat
production efforts.<BR><BR>Right now, this majestic herd
of wild, free horses stands at around 518 individuals
strong. But under the BLM's new plan, it will <B>cut
that number down to only 7 to 10 horses
left.</B><BR><BR>The agency is insisting that this
extermination plan is supposedly "safe, efficient, and
humane." But <B><I>rounding up and slaughtering hundreds
of innocent animals is not — and never can be —
humane.</I></B><BR><BR>These horses have the right to
live. They're not doing anything wrong! Just because
some profit-obsessed, greedy ranchers want the horses'
land, doesn't mean the government should be working to
exterminate these animals.<BR><BR></P>
