                  Governor Greg Abbott of Texas wants to kill people. There's no other way to put it. New variants of the highly-contagious and deadly novel coronavirus are spreading throughout the United States, including Texas. More than half a million Americans are dead from COVID-19. We ought to be hunkering down and using evidence-based practices to beat this virus — including physical distancing and masking up. Instead, Greg Abbott decided to open Texas wide up. Like, all the way up. In doing so, he's actively threatening his residents' lives. 

                  On Tuesday, March 2nd, Abbott announced that all businesses in the entire state are allowed to go back to "business as usual," including dangerous indoor operations like restaurants, bars, clubs, and gyms. Even more unbelievably, he simultaneously removed the mandate requiring residents to wear masks. Now, millions of people could end up fully maskless indoors, breathing each other's potentially infectious and virus-filled air. Yet Abbott is trying to blame immigrants for the spread of COVID-19, spewing xenophobic misinformation on Twitter. There's only one person responsible for any increase in COVID in Texas: Governor Greg Abbott. Demand that the Texas state legislature save lives and bring back the mask mandate!
