ნაკლებად გამოყენებასა და ელექტროენერგიის მოხმარების შემცირებას  გულისხმობთ. 
მაგრამ, იცოდით, რომ მსოფლიო მასშტაბით სათბურის აირების გაფრქვევაში 
მნიშვნელოვანი წვლილი თქვენ მიერ წარმოქმნილ ორგანულ და არაორგანულ ნარჩენებსაც 
შეაქვს? უნარჩენო ცხოვრების წესი არა მხოლოდ ნაგავსაყრელებზე გადაყრილი 
მასალების რაოდენობას, არამედ თქვენი მიზეზით გაფრქვეული ნახშირბადის 
რაოდენობასაც ამცირებს.

        a.. ორგანული ნარჩენების დაშლისას ნახშირორჟანგი და მეთანი 
წარმოიქმნება. მეთანი უჰაერო პირობებში, ხოლო  ნახშირორჟანგი ჰაერზე ლპობის 
დროს გამოიყოფა.
        b.. არაორგანული ნარჩენების წარმოქმნასა და წვის პროცესში მონაწილეობს 
ისეთი ბუნებრივი რესურსები, როგორიცაა წყალი, საწვავი, ლითონი, ხე, რაც იწვევს 
სათბურის აირების, განსაკუთრებით ნახშირორჟანგის, და სხვა დამბინძურებლების 
გამოყოფას.
        c.. პლასტმასის ნარჩენები სათბურის აირებს სასიცოცხლო ციკლის ყველა 
ეტაპზე აფრქვევენ.
        d.. პლასტმასისთვის საჭირო ნედლეულის მოპოვება და ტრანსპორტირება 
დაკავშირებულია ისეთ რესურსებთან როგორიცაა, ნავთობი, გაზი და ქვანახშირი. დიდი 
რაოდენობით ნახშირბადი გამოიყოფა პლასტმასის წარმოების და ნარჩენი პლასტმასის 
განთავსების შედეგადაც.
        e.. მეცნიერების გათვლებით, მხოლოდ 2019 წელს მსოფლიოში პლასტმასის 
წარმოებისა და ინსინერაციის შედეგად ატმოსფეროში 850 მილიონ ტონაზე მეტი 
სათბურის აირი გაიფრქვა. 2050 წლისთვის ამ მაჩვენებელმა შესაძლოა 2.8 მილიარდ 
ტონას მიაღწიოს.


      არსებობს მოხმარებისა და ნარჩენების შემცირების რამდენიმე გზა

        a.. არ შეიძინოთ ისეთი ნივთები, რომლებიც არ გჭირდებათ, ამით 
შეამცირებთ წარმოქმნილი და ნაგავსაყრელზე განთავსებული ნარჩენების რაოდენობას
        b.. შეიძინეთ პროდუქტი დიდი შეკვრებით
        c.. არ გადაყაროთ ძველი ნივთები, ეცადეთ, ისინი ხელახლა გამოიყენოთ
        d.. ხელახლა გამოიყენეთ პლასტმასის ნივთები, ამით შეამცირებთ 
პლასტმასის ახალი ნივთების წარმოების საჭიროებას!
        e.. ეცადეთ, ნაკლები ნარჩენი მოხვდეს ნაგავსაყრელზე და ხელი შეუწყეთ 
ნარჩენების ნედლეულად გამოყენებას.
        f.. ნუ შეიძენთ ერთჯერადი მოხმარების საგნებს და „სწრაფი მოდის“ 
ნაწარმს, ეცადეთ, არ შეიძინოთ იმაზე მეტი, ვიდრე გჭირდებათ.
        g.. შეიძინეთ მეორადი ან ხარისხიანი ნივთები, რომლებიც დიდხანს 
გამოგადგებათ.
        h.. უსარგებლო ნივთებს მიეცით მეორე სიცოცხლე მათი გაჩუქების ან 
გაყიდვის გზით.
        i.. არ გადაყაროთ საკვები.
     When you think of climate change mitigation and reducing your carbon 
footprint, you probably think of driving less and turning out the lights; 
but did you know that organic and inorganic waste that you produce is also a 
huge contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions? A zero waste lifestyle 
not only keeps material out of our landfills, but it reduces your carbon 
footprint.

      Did you know?



        a.. When organic waste decomposes, carbon dioxide and methane gas is 
created. Methane is created when there is no air present, while carbon 
dioxide is the natural product when anything rots in air.
        b.. The production and incineration of inorganic waste uses natural 
resources such as water, fuel, metal, timber and this results in the 
emission of greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide and other 
pollutants.
        c.. Plastic waste produces greenhouse gas emissions during every 
stage of its lifecycle.
        d.. The extraction and transportation of plastic is dependent on 
oil, gas, and coal. The production and disposal of plastics also release 
tons of carbon emissions.
        e.. Globally, in 2019 alone, researchers estimate that the 
production and incineration of plastic will pump more than 850 million 
tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. By 2050, those emissions 
could rise to 2.8 billion tonnes.


      There are several ways you can help to cut consumption and waste

        a.. Refuse to purchase what you don’t need, this prevents the 
production and disposal of waste
        b.. Buy in bulk rather than buying individually packaged goods
        c.. Reuse things rather than throw them away
        d.. Reuse plastic waste and eliminate the need for new plastic 
products to be made!
        e.. Keep waste out of the landfill and allow it to become new 
material
        f.. Avoid single-use items and fast fashion, and try not to buy more 
than you need.
        g.. Shop around for second-hand or quality items that last a long 
time.
        h.. Give unwanted items a new life by donating them to charity or 
selling them on.
        i.. Avoid wasting food.
