            The fate of U.S. democracy depends on a safe and secure

                 The violent Capitol siege on January 6, an attempted but 
ultimately failed coup by Trump supporters, left dozens injured and 5 dead. 
Unfortunately, we know that the organizers of that have not only not given 
up their goal, they feel emboldened by their "success" at the Capitol. In 
fact, they appear to be planning violence in the Capitol and around the 
country for the coming weeks surrounding Joe Biden's inauguration. Federal, 
state, and local authorities must spare no expense in acting on the 
information to prevent another attack.

                  Capitol security officials shared some of the threats they 
consider credible at this point, of which there are apparently many. One of 
those is a plan to have 4,000 seditionists surrounding the Capitol to not 
allow Democrats in. Some groups have even published 'rules of engagement', 
which are guidelines about when they will shoot someone and when they won't. 
They are planning for a violent coup d'état against the U.S. Government and 
they have shown us they are no longer as fringe as we wanted to believe. 
Kicking many of them off mainstream social media was a start, but they are 
still organizing on encrypted messaging services.

                  There are indicators that authorities are already taking 
this much more seriously than they did January 6. But we must insist no 
expense is spared in protecting the transfer of power to Joe Biden. Will you
