Young climate activists are on the streets protesting. This week we can help them talk directly to European leaders. The plan has to remain secret, but it will help climate justice and needs our support now.

Hi,
Picture this. Young climate activists are taking over the hallways of power. They are surrounded by banners with their demands: Climate justice now! Some of them are engaged in debates with European leaders like Frans Timmermans, vice president of the European Commission. Some of them are literally being stepped over by MEPs rushing to their next meeting.

That is what we supported at the end of last year. And we have the chance to make it happen again tomorrow in Brussels. This time it’s even bigger, the target is even more high-profile and the obstacles are greater. And again we have the privilege and joy to help climate youth activists convey their message.
Like last time, we can't yet disclose any more information so we don't jeopardise the action. And again, we decided to support the action without yet having raised the full amount needed to cover the costs. We had to decide fast. And we did because we trust in the strength of the WeMove Europe community: if the opportunity is right, enough of us will donate to make the action happen.
Today we ask you to chip in and help us raise the 5,000 Euros we need to make the action a success. Please help climate youth activists share their fears and demands with European leaders.

Since the autumn of last year, we’ve been supporting climate youth activists, especially in those countries where our support is needed most, like in Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Romania. It’s our core purpose that people from all corners of Europe are represented in Brussels - especially the youth.
Thanks to the support of the WeMove community, we can enable young activists like Jasmin, Boris, Elzbieta and seventeen others to join the action tomorrow. Their plan is ambitious: interrupt European leaders in their negotiations and make them focus on what is important now: clear and ambitious reduction goals and decisive action to halt climate change.
On the day of action we will offer digital tools for everyone in our community to add their voices to the movement. We can connect from wherever we are - the workplace, our home, a train - and join their action for the climate. Watch this space.
But today our task is clear - we need to collect one key resource for action: money, given as donations, big and small and from all over Europe. Chip in and be part of it.

The plans for a European Green Deal reach out over the next 30 years. The EU aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2050 [1]. The youth of today will then be 45 to 55 years old. They will carry the burden of every step not taken fast enough today. And this is the reason their voice must count so much more in the debate. That is why we support them fiercely - for the future of our children and children's children.
Chip in generously for climate action tomorrow!
With determination,
David, Jörg, and the entire WeMove Europe team
P.S. The action will include youth activists from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Romania, who will be able to speak directly in their native language to their representatives in Brussels. It won’t just be one famous teenager from Sweden speaking in English on behalf of a movement, but a group of Europeans speaking directly to the European representatives of their native country. We think this is worth the effort! Donate now.
