This is a moment in which all Europeans have a choice. We can gift the next generation a climate catastrophe alongside the politics of fear and division. Or, we can show up and be counted in favour of another kind of future. This election will be decided by who turns up to vote.
PLEDGE TO VOTE
Have you seen Greta, the Swedish 16-year-old that's inspired a youthful revolution on climate change all across Europe? Greta, alongside hundreds of thousands of Europeans of all ages, knows that the worst thing we can do right now is to close our eyes and wish it all went away. She knows that we have maximum 10-12 years before climate change leads to irreparable damage, and that the course our leaders take over the next five years will determine the course of our future.
But Greta and the other school-strikers across Europe can’t vote yet, and the European election is right around the corner. That’s why we need to act, and that means getting people out to vote 23-26 May. We need to vote for a different kind of politics in Europe: to champion the fight against climate change, for women’s rights, for diversity, solidarity, for the original values of the EU.
Will you pledge to vote in the EU Election 23-26 May – and then ask your loved ones to pledge to vote too?

The vast majority of us believe in a future where we protect our natural environment, where we all have a right to a safe place to live, where we lead with compassion, where we’re proud of our diversity – as one, unified Europe. But here’s the thing: elections aren’t decided by opinion polls. This election will be decided by who turns up to vote.
This is a moment in which all Europeans have a choice. We can gift the next generation a climate catastrophe alongside the politics of fear and division. Or, we can show up and be counted in favour of another kind of future – one where Europeans are actively finding progressive solutions for the big problems our planet faces.
Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) hold the unique power to improve conditions in our everyday lives – whether that means laws that help to change our food system, or ensure everyone has access to affordable housing, or take action on climate change. MEPs are elected for five-year terms, so the composition of the next European Parliament will have a huge impact on environmental decisions in this critical juncture in our history.
Here’s what you can do to make a difference in these elections:
1.. First, pledge to vote in the upcoming election. If you pledge now, we’ll update you when voting starts.
2.. Then, ask your loved ones to join you. When you pledge, you’ll be invited to share the pledge to vote with friends. This is one of the most effective things you can do – study after study shows there’s nothing more powerful than one-on-one conversations about why this election matters in order to change the final result.
It starts with pledging to vote in the upcoming European election. The more people we can sign up now, the more the WeMove team will be able to plan and we’ll let you know about all the most effective actions you can take next.
There’s just 9 days to go until voting starts. Anything could happen in these elections. The outcome will be decided by who shows up to be counted. The worst thing we can do right now is to close our eyes and wish it all went away. Will you pledge to vote?

PS: Our community is a broad church of beliefs and ideas. That means we’ll be turning up to vote for many different people on Election Day – and that’s a great thing. What matters is that we show up to vote against the candidates that represent politics that want to pollute and poison our planet in the name of economic growth. Pledge to vote now, and I’ll keep you posted with everything you need to know in the lead up to election day.
WeMove.EU is a citizens’ movement, campaigning for a better Europe; for a European Union committed to social and economic justice, environmental sustainability and citizen-led democracy. We are people from all walks of life, who call Europe our home whether we were born in Europe or elsewhere.
