We know the many unofficial national "holidays" and awareness months that keep cropping up can seem excessive. Do we really need a National Hug Your Cat Day? (Actually, we kind of like that one. But we think you get the idea.)
Pet Preparedness Month, however, is a truly important one.
The climate crisis is already affecting our pets, putting them at higher risk of vector-borne diseases like heartworm and Lyme disease, heat stress, injury during natural disasters like floods, and so much more.
Luckily, with a little planning, there’s plenty of care you can give to help your pets stay safe in our warming world and live a long and healthy life.
