overview and typology of sources of funding and financing potentially available
for those involved in the management of shared waters and development of
transboundary basins. It analyses the key opportunities and challenges related
to the financing of transboundary water cooperation and basin development by
investigating different financial needs for the development and the maintenance
of joint bodies and the development and implementation of transboundary water
management projects and identifying potential sources of funding and financing
for them. </P>
