release of the <B>Climate Action Monitor 2024</B>,
which is</FONT></SPAN><FONT size=4> the principal publication of the
OECD’s International Programme for Action on Climate (IPAC). It provides an
annual comprehensive assessment of country progress towards net zero and the
Paris Agreement commitments.</FONT><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: large">This year's
edition presents an in-depth evaluation of net-zero-targets, major
climate-related hazards, and key trends in climate policy action. Its findings
suggest that current 2030 GHG emission commitments are not ambitious enough to
meet the Paris </SPAN></FONT><SPAN
style="FONT-FAMILY: Poppins; FONT-SIZE: large">Agreement temperature goals, and
that countries will not meet the net-zero challenge without a significant
expansion in national climate action.</SPAN></FONT></P>

context of the evolution of global climate and current national emissions
