<P>If this eleventh hour deal goes through it could undo so much
vital work our movement has done. But it’s not too late for you to
stop it.<STRONG> People power has pushed the world's biggest
financial institutions out of this project</STRONG>

<P>The Bank of New York Mellon is one of the biggest US banks and
also one of the least climate friendly -- <STRONG>it has zero
policies limiting the financing of coal projects, and no intention
of working towards the Paris Agreement’s climate goals.</STRONG>
Which means the risk of Adani’s coal mine being funded is very
real.</P>
<P>Opposition to Adani’s controversial coal project has been
unstoppable. <STRONG>All around the world people have been standing
up against Adani</STRONG>, like the Wangan and Jagalingou people who
are the Traditional Owners of the land Adani is destroying and local
communities in Godda, India, where Adani is constructing a big new
coal power station.</P>
<P>This bank claims to be putting the future first, but <STRONG>if
this deal goes ahead BNY Mellon could be responsible for finally
giving Adani the cash it needs to get one of the largest coal mines
in the world operational.</STRONG></P>
