residents of the Hattersley council estate in the UK say
<STRONG>their homes are crawling with hundreds, if not
thousands, of rats — some the size of cats or small
dogs.</STRONG> But their 'landlords' are telling them to just
deal with it. Not only that, these are affordable housing
units, meaning the people there can absolutely not afford to
remedy this situation. Not to mention they shouldn't have to!
<STRONG><A
href="https://www.care2.com/go/z/e/A7nrp/zW2S/dw_EO"><FONT
color=#006d7d>Sign the petition demanding that Tameside
Metropolitan Borough Council (Tameside MBC), which is
responsible for the upkeep of Hattersley, address the
overwhelming rat infestation for the safety and health of its
residents!</FONT></A></STRONG> </P>
<P style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 2em">Tameside BMC is well aware of
this disgusting problem, they just don't care! 6,000 people,
including many children, are forced to live among disease
ridden rats that are eating their food and destroying their
family possessions, many of them sentimental. At a time when
everyone is forced to spend so much time at home, these people
are stuck with a horrendous home to spend time in. Individual
tenants both cannot afford exterminators and would not be
solving the problem long term even if they could. That's
because ridding one unit of rats only leaves it open to more
since the entire estate is overrun. <STRONG><A
href="https://www.care2.com/go/z/e/A7nrp/zW2S/dw_EO"><FONT
color=#006d7d>The estate council must act now and take care of
the rats so these people can live in peace and
safety!</FONT></A> </STRONG></P>
