across Africa. <STRONG>Bees are dropping dead and
scientists in Ghana are raising the alarm.</STRONG>
They’re calling for a national clamp down, but they’re
up against powerful industry lobbyists.</P>

Syngenta are undermining all the work we've done to ban bee-killing
pesticides in Europe</STRONG> -- by ramping up sales across
Africa!</P>
<P>These toxic double standards threaten to decimate bees and other
pollinators across the continent -- <STRONG>already beekeepers have
reported plummeting numbers.</STRONG></P>
<P>Now an alarmed <STRONG>group of scientists in Ghana are
campaigning for a national ban on neonics.</STRONG> This would be a
huge win that could set off a chain reaction in other countries,
<STRONG>showing the chemical giants they have nowhere to
turn.</STRONG></P>
<P>But they can’t do it without your help -- the cocoa industry is
Ghana’s biggest neonics user and <STRONG>the powerful Cocoa Board is
in bed with pesticide manufacturers.</STRONG></P>
<P>With extra funds the scientists can <STRONG>gather irrefutable
evidence of the damage wrought by neonics in Ghana</STRONG> and
convince the politicians these chemicals must go. </P>

<P>This is toxic corporate behaviour. It’s what the cigarette
companies did too -- beaten in Europe and North America, they went
to prey on African countries where people have fewer regulatory
protections. <STRONG>We need to back this campaign to show all
corporations with harmful products they can’t just dump their poison
on Africa with abandon.</STRONG></P>
<P>In Ghana, pesticides are already having an impact. Cocoa covers
over 30% of Ghanaian farmland, which is now loaded with lethal
neurotoxins like imidacloprid, which leach into surrounding soil.
<STRONG>Yields are falling</STRONG> and experts say it’s because
these chemicals are harming key pollinators -- but to win over key
officials, they <STRONG>need more evidence.</STRONG></P>
<P>Ghana has an election coming up so it’s the perfect time to ramp
up the pressure. With your help, Ghanaian scientists can run a study
to show the damage neonics are wreaking on local biodiversity and
<STRONG>then launch a huge advocacy and media push to get out the
results.</STRONG></P>
<P>Showing <STRONG>neonics are actually hurting Ghana's
