<P><BIG>Hi,</BIG></P>
<P><BIG><B>Right now, together with dozens of young people, we are lying on the
floor of the European Parliament.</B></BIG></P>
<P><BIG>This is the <STRONG>first “die-in” in the Parliament’s
history.</STRONG> Its purpose? To expose the cost of our leaders’
inaction against climate emergency.</BIG></P>
<P><BIG>And <STRONG>only one thing can bring our demonstrators back to
life: knowing that Europe’s 27 new leaders will do everything they can to fight
global warming.</STRONG></BIG></P>
<P><BIG>These leaders haven’t yet fully secured their power -- their future is
in the hands of our representatives, <B>Members of the European Parliament.</B>
This gives us a big opportunity to get them on our side.</BIG></P>
<P><BIG>To do this, <B>we need your help.</B> There are several MEPs who could
tip the balance in our favour. But, due to pressure from many polluting lobbies,
we could lose their support for climate action.</BIG></P>
<P><BIG>The vote is in a week. Today, we are taking this extraordinary action in
the European Parliament to pile on the pressure. Please stand with us and

<P><BIG>Science tells us <STRONG>we have just 11 years</STRONG> to avoid the
worst effects of climate breakdown. Amongst them: extreme heat, droughts and
floods. [1]</BIG></P>
<P><BIG>There is good news too: the same scientists tell us that we
already have access to key solutions that can curb the damages of climate
change. We should <STRONG>match the ambitions of the Paris Climate agreement,
phase-out fossil fuels,</STRONG> and massively <STRONG>finance the climate and
energy transition.</STRONG></BIG></P>
<P><BIG>But we can’t wait: <STRONG>we have to act now.</STRONG></BIG></P>
<P><BIG>In a few days, the European Parliament is voting on our new European
leaders - 27 new Commissioners. So together <STRONG>we’re pressing our MEPs to
make sure these commissioners will be climate heroes.</STRONG> And we’re
deliberately targeting very influential MEPs with our tweets.</BIG></P>
<P><BIG>By focusing on some key members of Socialists and Democrats (S&D),
Green and Renew (Liberals) groups of MEPs, <STRONG>together we can persuade
them to reject the commission for its conservative action on the climate
emergency.</STRONG> If we convince these MEPs, their majority will be enough to
reject the Commission in favour of real climate action.</BIG></P>

joined marches throughout Europe with the climate strikers, and organised a
powerful sit-in in the European Parliament.</BIG></P>

people and planet first. </STRONG>Today, let’s take action to make sure our MEPs
are real climate heroes, and are dedicated to taking serious action against
climate disaster.</BIG></P>
