                        On September 17, ABC announced it had suspended 
Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show indefinitely. Why? Because he dared to 
criticize Donald Trump and his crew.



                        This is not just about one comedian. It's about 
whether any American is free to question their leaders without risk of 
government retribution. Trump's administration leaned on broadcasters to 
silence Kimmel — just as they seem to have done with Stephen Colbert in 
July. Now, Trump is demanding NBC cancel Fallon and Seth Meyers too.



                        Free speech is protected under the First Amendment. 
But authoritarian governments always start by silencing critics in the 
media — and we are watching that happen in real time.



                        Disney and ABC must take a stand for democracy, not 
cave to Trump's authoritarian demands. The only way to prove it is by
