                        It is no secret that immigration raids are harrowing. Under the Trump Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and ICE have ramped up their efforts to deport as many people as possible, including people who have not committed any crime. In fact, according to one analysis of ICE detentions, 65% of people kidnapped by ICE had no convictions. One unexpected and often overlooked victim of immigration raids? The pets who are left behind with no owners to care for them. 



                        Sign the petition to tell Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and ICE: stop illegally detaining innocent people! Keep families and pets together!



                        In Southern California especially, shelters have noticed an increase in animals that end up in their care following an ICE raid which deports or threatens family members. Los Angeles County alone has taken in dozens of pets since mid-June. By illegally detaining innocent people, ICE is not only separating human family members, but tragically leaving the animal members of families alone, too.
