            Dear friends of the rainforests,

            Brussels is weighing an autumn “Omnibus package” that could weaken essential conservation laws – presented as simplification, delivered as deregulation. Let’s keep air, water, forest, and wildlife protections intact by speaking up now.

            Despite cleaner air and water, only 15 percent of EU habitats are in good condition. Pollinator and bird populations are still in free fall – a warning sign no lawmaker should ignore. Weakening safeguards now would accelerate the slide.

            The European Commission’s feedback period is open on the Have Your Say portal, with decisions expected this fall. A surge of messages can shift the narrative and push back against intense lobbying by agribusiness and right-wing groups.

            Say NO to weakening EU nature laws – sign and share the petition today, then submit feedback to the consultation before the September 10 deadline. Every voice matters.
