In December, an environmental catastrophe unfolded
in the Kerch Strait as two outdated oil tankers broke apart while caught in
a storm, spilling thousands of tons of fuel oil into the Black Sea. To make
matters worse, the Russian government responded far too late, only
mobilizing after a surge of public outrage highlighted the severity of the
spill. Even with the government taking action, not enough is being done to
mitigate the disaster.

Sign the petition to urge the Russian government to
launch a full-scale cleanup operation!

The shores of the Black Sea are now a toxic
wasteland, with dead wildlife washing ashore and continuous waves of oil
polluting our beaches. This is an emergency. The health and well-being of
the Black Sea and its coastal communities depend on a proper disaster
response. We cannot allow negligence and poor regulatory oversight to
jeopardize our environment and our future. Sign the petition to demand the
Russian Government properly respond to the oil spill to protect the Black
Sea from further devastation!

                 Thank you,

                        Jess
