                        Domestic violence doesn't just harm human victims — pets are often caught in the crossfire. Thankfully, a new bill in Pennsylvania is addressing this issue. House Bill 1210 would allow domestic abuse survivors to include their pets in protection orders. This life-changing measure would grant temporary ownership rights to survivors, protecting their pets from harm. With so many survivors delaying leaving abusive situations out of fear for their pets, this bill must be passed immediately.

                        Frequently, domestic abusers target animals to maintain control and inflict pain on survivors, knowing the deep emotional bond people have with their pets.
