                        Now Accepting Nominations for the 2026 Goldman Environmental Prize! 🌍🏆 
                 
                        ⏰ Nominations are due March 3, 2025, by 5:00 pm PST ⏰ 
                 
                          
                 
                        The Goldman Prize recognizes grassroots environmental heroes from the world’s six inhabited continental regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, Islands & Island Nations, North America, and South & Central America.

                        Prize winners receive an unrestricted award of $200,000 US dollars, global recognition and exposure, defense support and networking opportunities, and life-long credibility as Goldman Prize winners.

                        The Goldman Prize is presented as part of a two-week tour in San Francisco and Washington, DC, in April, 2026. 
                 
                       
                 
                       
                 
                        Three Step Nomination Process 
                 
                       
                 
                       
                 
           
                        1️⃣ Review the Criteria and Nominations Terms 1️⃣

                        All nominees must have attained a recent, specific environmental achievement during or after April 2022 to be considered for the 2026 Goldman Prize.  
                 
                       
                 
                        2026 Nomination Criteria & Terms
                          
                 
                       
                 
                        2️⃣ Confirm Nominee Eligibility 2️⃣

                        Prior to submitting the nomination, please send the names of the candidates you wish to nominate directly to nominations at goldmanprize.org so we can check if the nominee(s) has an active nomination. We will not accept nominations or provide honoraria for any nominee that has an active nomination. 
                 
                       
                 
                        3️⃣ Submit a Nomination 3️⃣

                        Submit nominations and/or updates in the nomination portal by Monday, March 3, 2025 at 5:00 pm PST. If your nomination advances to the semifinalist round, Prize staff will contact nominators in mid-March to request a full nomination. Full nominations will be due Friday, May 2, 2025.
