В этом году Всемирный климатический фонд привлекает новую разнообразную
аудиторию с Недели климата в Нью-Йорке на COP28 для поддержки приоритетов
природы. Мы приглашаем вас сыграть важную роль в решении общей проблемы
изменения климата и утраты биоразнообразия. Присоединяйтесь к нам на
Всемирном климатическом саммите 7-8 декабря и станьте частью знаменательного
запуска Коалиции инвестиций в природу в Голубой зоне.
Глобальная климатическая повестка дня исторически была сосредоточена на
сокращении выбросов, часто упуская из виду решающую роль природы в смягчении
последствий изменения климата. Между тем, игнорирование утраты
биоразнообразия может только помешать нашим усилиям по борьбе с глобальным
потеплением. Поэтому конференция COP этого года имеет первостепенное
значение, поскольку она ставит природу на передний план глобальных
переговоров по климату. Приоритеты природы COP28 призывают все
заинтересованные стороны интегрировать природу в действия по борьбе с
изменением климата и финансовые стратегии. Но для этого нам нужны
экологические решения и значительные инвестиции для их реализации.
В преддверии COP28 Всемирный саммит по биоразнообразию был учрежден в
качестве ключевого мероприятия, посвященного природе, на Неделе климата в
Нью-Йорке и 78-й ГА ООН. Он привлек новую и разнообразную аудиторию для
предоставления инновационных идей по ускорению инвестиций в природу и
разработке экологических решений в различных основных секторах – от
сельского и лесного хозяйства до энергетики и океанов.
Продвигая эти идеи, наша Всемирная сеть по биоразнообразию, состоящая из
ключевых финансовых экспертов, лидеров отрасли и политиков, готова сыграть
решающую роль на COP28, сосредоточив внимание на синергии между действиями
по охране природы и климата во время Всемирного климатического саммита и
создав импульс для подведения итогов глобального климата. Реализация
Рамочной программы по сохранению биоразнообразия в преддверии COP16.
В течение последних нескольких лет Всемирный климатический фонд активно
работал над преодолением разрыва между действиями по борьбе с изменением
климата и биоразнообразием посредством глобальных мероприятий, создания
коалиций и государственно-частного партнерства.
Всемирный климатический саммит. Инвестиционная конференция, которая пройдет
в свой 14-й раз 7-8 декабря одновременно с COP28, будет включать в себя три
основные сессии по биоразнообразию, на которых будут рассмотрены:
Природные решения и их синергия для борьбы с изменением климата
Климатически оптимизированное сельское хозяйство, революционизирующее
продовольственные системы для обеспечения устойчивости к изменению климата
Повышение устойчивости к изменению климата и адаптации посредством
финансирования природы
В программе саммита, посвященной биоразнообразию, выступит выдающийся состав
докладчиков, представленных ведущими финансовыми учреждениями,
международными экологическими организациями, лидерами отрасли, учеными и

This year at COP28, nature is coming to the well-deserved forefront of the
global climate agenda
This year, the World Climate Foundation is
bringing a new diverse audience from Climate Week NYC to COP28 to support
Nature Priorities. We invite you to play an integral role in addressing the
shared challenge of climate change and biodiversity loss. Join us at World
Climate Summit on 7-8 December and be part of a momentous launch of the
Nature Investment Coalition in the Blue Zone.
The global climate agenda has historically
centred on emissions reduction, often overlooking the critical role of
nature in climate mitigation. Meanwhile, neglecting biodiversity loss can
only hinder our efforts to combat global warming. Therefore, this year's COP
is of paramount importance, as it places nature at the forefront of global
climate negotiations. The COP28 Nature Priorities calls on all stakeholders
to integrate nature into climate action and financial strategies. But to do
so, we need nature-based solutions and substantial investments to implement
them.
Ahead of COP28, World Biodiversity Summit was
established as a key nature event at Climate Week NYC and the 78th UNGA. It
engaged a new and diverse crowd to deliver innovative insights on
accelerating nature investments and developing nature-based solutions across
various major sectors – from agriculture and forestry to energy and oceans.
Bringing these insights forward, our World
Biodiversity Network of key financial experts, industry leaders and
policymakers is poised to play a crucial role at COP28 focusing on the
synergy between nature and climate action during World Climate Summit and
building the momentum to take stock of the Global Biodiversity Framework
implementation ahead of COP16.
For the past several years, the World Climate
Foundation has been actively working to bridge the gap between climate and
biodiversity action through global events, coalition building and
public-private partnerships.
World Climate Summit - The Investment COP
returning for its 14th year on 7-8 December alongside COP28, will feature
the three pivotal biodiversity sessions, delving into:
a.. Nature-based solutions and their
synergies for climate action
b.. Climate-smart agriculture,
revolutionising food systems for climate resilience
c.. Boosting climate resilience and
adaptation through nature finance
The biodiversity track of the summit will
boast an outstanding lineup of speakers, represented by leading finance
institutions, international environmental organisations, industry leaders,
scientists and policymakers. Among them:
a.. Noor Yafai-Stroband, Europe Director for
Global Policy and Institutional Partnerships at The Nature Conservancy
b.. Emily McKenzie, Technical Director at
the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures
c.. Eva Mayerhofer, Head of Environmental
Policy and Biodiversity Lead at the European Investment Bank
d.. Ross Hampton, Executive Director of the
International Sustainable Forestry Coalition
e.. Dr Tsai Ming-Jer, Director of the
Experimental Forest, College of Bioresources and Agriculture of National
Taiwan University

Keen to deliver more meaningful impacts, we
are arranging high-level negotiations and partnerships in the Blue Zone to
craft effective solutions to climate-nature dual crises. One is the Nature
Investment Coalition, our brand-new initiative forged through collaboration
with the UN High-Level Climate Champions and other partners. The coalition
is to streamline funding for sustainable management of natural resources
while addressing climate change through nature-based solutions.
