Shorter sentences should not come with the price tag of literal human body parts.
Coercing Prisoners to Sell Their Organs for Freedom Is Horrific and Wrong.

Just when you thought the criminal justice system in the United States couldn't get any more inhumane, a proposed piece of legislation could make it worse.
A terrifying new bill in Massachusetts would give prisoners shorter sentences - in exchange for organ or bone marrow donations.
People who are incarcerated should not be forced to literally sell their body parts for freedom.
The high number of people waiting for a medical organ transplant is not the fault of people behind bars, nor should we harvest their bodies as a solution.
There are other ways to incentivize organ and blood marrow donations from civilians that do not involve coercing some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
Sign the petition to demand the Massachusetts state legislature vote no on this dystopian bill! Lawmakers must find other ways to reduce prison sentences and incentivize organ donations.
Thank you,
Miranda
