The draft of Kazakhstan's "new" NDC is posted on the Government's website 
for comments: https://legalacts.egov.kz/npa/view?id=14402466


The commitments of the Republic of Kazakhstan have not changed: "reducing 
GHG emissions by 15% till 2030", only the words that this is "a very 
ambitious task" have disappeared.

Such "commitments" mean the transfer of almost all major decarbonization 
measures for the period after 2030-2040, i.e. the transfer of responsibility 
for the consequences of climate change to the next governments, and all 
damages to the population.

Despite the fact that international expertise has shown that the benefits 
only from improving the health of the country's population from replacing 
coal with renewable energy exceed all the losses associated with abandoning 
coal, and at the same time can reduce emissions by up to 40-50% by 2030.

Once again, Kazakhstan is trying to deceive the international community and 
the population of the country- in the interests of only the oil-coal-"brown" 
business.

But in the end, we only deceive ourselves - Kazakhstan belongs to the 
countries most vulnerable to climate change!

Проект "новых" климатических обязательств Казахстана размещен на сайте 
Правительства для предложений и замечаний - до 22 февраля:

Особых изменений там нет: обязательства РК не изменились: "сокращение 
выбросов парниковых газов на 15% к 2030 г.", исчезли только слова, что это 
"весьма амбициозная задача".

Такие "обязательства" означают перенос практически всех основных мер по 
декарбонизации на период после 2030-2040 гг, т.е. передачу ответственности 
за последствия климатических изменений на следующие правительства, а всех 
ущербов - на население.

При том, что международная экспертиза показала, что выгоды только от 
улучшения здоровья населения страны от замены угля на ВИЭ превышают все 
убытки, связанные с отказом от угля, и при этом могут дать снижение выбросов 
до 40-50% уже к 2030 г.

В который раз мы пытаемся обмануть международное сообщество и население 
страны в интересах только нефтяного-угольного -"коричневого" бизнеса.

Но в итоге мы обманываем только себя- Казахстан относится к странам, 
наиболее подверженным изменениям климата!
