Dear colleagues,



The World Circular Economy Forum 2022 kicks off in less than one week in 
Kigali, Rwanda - for the first time in Africa. You can join online all 
sessions and:



  1.. Discover how the African continent can take a crucial role in the 
global transition towards a circular economy;
  2.. Find out how the circular economy can help solve global biodiversity 
and climate crises which require immediate action;
  3.. Get inspired by some of the coolest circular economy business ideas 
from Africa and the world.

UNEP is closely involved in the organization of many sessions of the 
programme, including:



On Tuesday 6th December:

  a.. Circular economy for climate and nature
  b.. Circular trade and value chains
  c.. Circular cities shaping the future


On Wednesday 7th December:

  a.. Partnerships for a global circular economy
  b.. Catalysing private finance for circularity in Africa


On Thursday 8th December, 25 Accelerator sessions will take place, either 
online, hybrid or in-person. These Accelerator sessions will deep dive into 
the latest topics relevant to Africa in the transition to a circular 
economy. The full programme is available at:

that all Accelerator Sessions require a separate registration.



I would like to raise your awareness on the following Accelerator sessions 
which UNEP supports:



  a.. Implementation of EPR schemes: Lessons learned and best practices
  b.. Enhancing circularity in Africa
  c.. JUST2CE: working towards an inclusive and just transition to a 
circular economy
  d.. Increasing the circularity of fashion
  e.. Locally led solutions to accelerate circularity within businesses
  f.. A global road map for an inclusive circular economy – from concept to 
action


I have attached an invitation letter to join online the WCEF 2022. Do not 
hesitate to disseminate and invite your respective networks as you see fit, 
online registrations are still open.
