                 International Court of Justice (UN) - Russia has reduced 
the Genocide Convention "to confetti"
                        The development at the International Court of 
Justice (ICJ) came on the 12th day of the crisis in Ukraine, where more than 
1.5 million refugees have sought refuge across the country's borders and 
where cities have been surrounded by Russian forces and civilians are 
subject to indiscriminate shelling.

                        The European Commission welcomes today's agreement

                        The European Commission must take urgent action and 
apply the rule of law conditionality mechanism immediately, notifying the 
Member States concerned in writing.

                 International treaty on pandemics: Council green light to 
open negotiations
                        The Council adopted a decision authorising the 
opening of negotiations for an international agreement on pandemic 
prevention, preparedness and response. The decision also opens the way for 
the negotiation of complementary amendments to the International Health 
Regulations.
