EU should initiate the process of accession of Ukraine in the EU
UN Human Rights Council - Russia: Resolution to investigate violations in Ukraine adopted
A resolution in favour of an international commission of enquiry into violations of human rights and humanitarian law in Ukraine following the Russian invasion was adopted by an overwhelming majority. The resolution was passed with 32 votes in favour, 2 against (Russia and Eritrea) and 13 abstentions, including those of Venezuela, Cuba, China, India and Pakistan. This is the first time that the UN Council has adopted a resolution directly concerning Russia.

In accordance with the Statute of the Council of Europe, the Committee of Ministers decided on 25 February to suspend, with immediate effect, the Russian Federation's rights of representation in the Committee of Ministers and the Parliamentary Assembly following the armed attack on Ukraine.

An estimated $1.1 billion is needed for the response inside Ukraine for three months to help six million of the most vulnerable people in Ukraine, as the escalation of the conflict has triggered an immediate and sharp increase in demand for life-saving aid.
