                        Hi, I'm Bruce. I work with the Green Door Initiative 
here in Michigan.

                        I'm a father of two kids -- they may be in their 
twenties now, but they'll always be my kids. I don't know about you, but I 
love biking with my family, and getting to enjoy some of Michigan's great 
state parks. Not just for fun, either - for years, it was my job to look 
after thousands of state parks, marinas, and boating access sites across the 
Wolverine State. That's why clean air matters to me, and my family.

                        It's also why I worry about the air we breathe. Did 
you know that smog and air pollution can travel across state lines, 
impacting families in upwind states like Michigan? It's what happens when 
dirty power plants and industrial facilities don't use available pollution 
control technologies, or fail to use them effectively.

                        Luckily, there's something you can do to help 
prevent this. The EPA is considering a proposed rule called the Cross State 
Air Pollution Rule. It's also known as the Good Neighbor Plan, and if it's 
adopted, it'll reduce harmful air pollution from both power plants and 
industrial facilities through the deployment of existing technologies.

                        You can submit a comment in support of that rule by 
clicking here. There’s sample language and we’ll even submit it for you.

                        Things like air pollution can have severe 
consequences; it's why people sometimes call it "the invisible killer". For 
example: ozone pollution from nitrous oxides can cause respiratory problems 
like asthma, and even premature death. As a dad, I'd hate to see any of my 
kids suffering like that, and I'm sure you would too.

                        I love my children, which is why making sure we have 
clean air to breathe is a must for future generations -- and not just my 
children, but their children as well. And that's why I'm asking you to join 
me right now in submitting a comment to the EPA.

                        Please, submit a comment here now.

                        Submitting a comment lets the EPA know you want them 
to quickly finalize that rule and ensure it contains comprehensive 
geographic coverage, which will provide up to $18 billion in benefits for 
the U.S. by 2026 and prevent up to 1,000 premature deaths, 2,000 hospital 
and emergency room visits, and 1.3 million cases of aggravated asthma. This 
public health safeguard will also protect countless Americans who are 
unknowingly subjected to dangerous pollution from plants and facilities in 
downwind states.

                        It’s Father’s Day, and while the greatest gift I’ve 
gotten as a man are my children, the greatest gift I can give them is a 
better, cleaner world. And that’s why I’m asking you to submit a comment 
with the EPA on this rule.
