                        Did you know every year tens of thousands of horses are transported from the United States to their deaths? The practice of horse slaughter continues today and it is horrific. But there is hope! The Save America’s Forgotten Equines (SAFE) Act would permanently ban domestic horse slaughter in the U.S. and stop the export of American horses for slaughter abroad. Can we count on your support of this critical legislation today?

                        The export of these beautiful animals is barbaric enough. They are crammed into overcrowded trailers and can endure days of travel without food or water. Once they reach the slaughterhouse, their instinctual flight response to danger kicks in, and they struggle and fight until their last moments, then they’re brutally killed.

                        This is a heartbreaking reality but, together, it’s something we can put an end to. Please take action today for these horses, who so desperately need our help!
