These wolves' blood is on policy makers' hands.
Hunters Slaughtered 20 Wolves When They Roamed
Beyond Protected Borders. They Need Federal Protections NOW!

Yet again, innocent animals were killed for simply
doing what animals are naturally inclined to do: roam within their habitat.
This time, 20 gray wolves were slaughtered after they wandered from the
safety of Yellowstone across the park's border into Montana, Idaho, and
Wyoming. Within just a few months, more wolves were killed in this corner of
the country than in any single season since the species were reintroduced to
the area over 25 years ago.
This most recent instance of violence against these
iconic animals is, unfortunately, part of a pattern. This specific region of
the U.S. lifted certain protections for wolves nearly a decade ago, and in
2020 Trump officially stripped the species of federal protections. Since
then, many hunting seasons have vastly exceeded their kill quota, some
wolves are turning up poisoned, Indigenous tribes' rights and resources are
being infringed upon, and wolves like these 20 -- which should have been
protected -- are turning up dead just for roaming like wolves do.
Enough is enough. It's time that the U.S. Fish &
Wildlife Service stop putting the desires of blood-thirsty hunters above
animal lives. Sign the petition if you want to see gray wolves re-listed
under the Endangered Species Act, and given all the protections that
entails!
Thank you,
Lauren
