                 UN General Assembly votes to suspend Russia from the Human 
Rights Council

                        The resolution received a two-thirds majority vote, 
minus abstentions, in the 193-member Assembly, with 93 nations voting in 
favour and 24 against. Fifty-eight abstained. Russia, China, Cuba, North 
Korea, Iran, Syria and Vietnam were among those who voted against.

bilateral Summit via videoconference on 1 April 2022. President of the 
European Council, Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission, 
Ursula von der Leyen, held the Summit meeting with China's Prime Minister Li 
Keqiang, followed by exchanges with China's President Xi Jinping.

amendments allowing member states to redirect resources from cohesion policy 
funds and the European Fund for Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) to assist
