of the month

With the world’s climate in a state of

(COP26), in this month’s issue we bring you the latest climate science. Find
out how you can follow the discussion and take action.

                              Climate action

Time is running out to slash emissions

Even if countries live up to their new pledges
to curb greenhouse gas emissions, the world will still warm by 2.7°C this
century, finds UNEP’s Emissions Gap Report 2021. Unless drastic action is
taken now, the upper limit of the Paris Agreement is at risk of being
exceeded and the Earth is left open to catastrophic climate change.

Sweden for a landmark summit on the environment. They’ll meet there again in
mid-2022 to take stock and look forward.
