I’m writing to ask for your help.
Behind every WeMove Europe campaign stand people like you and me. The more
of us that pile in together, the higher our chances of winning.
For every campaign we run, we take action big and small in support. From
running events to producing videos. It’s all funded by everyday people like
you and I. Just by chipping in a few euros here and there, we make great
things happen. This is what people-power is all about.
But each time we ask for donations, some people decide to unsubscribe.
This is bad. Our power comes from speaking up together - the less of us
there are, the harder it will be to stand up to the likes of Big Pharma or
the greedy corporations exploiting our planet for profit. That’s why I’m
asking you to help us solve this - by setting up a regular donation.
I’ve crunched the numbers, and if 812 of us start chipping in just €3 a week
now, we could cut our fundraising appeals in half. Meaning our community
retains its size and strength to speak up.
So, if you believe our community should remain powerful and relevant now
more than ever, will you help us solve this problem?
Use the buttons below to start a regular donation - you'll select the weekly
amount you want to donate and then will be shown a summary of how much will
be debited each calendar month.

Asking for donations is the last thing I want to do - and if you can’t
donate, requests like this can be tough to read. But running ambitious
campaigns to solve the challenges Europe faces costs money. Challenges such
as keeping toxic pesticides, like glyphosate, out of our food. Or making
sure it doesn’t pay to burn Europe’s forests instead of protecting them for
generations to come.
So we’re stuck. We need the money - but we don’t want to lose people like
you who make this community powerful.
We don’t take a single cent from companies or governments - so when our
community faces challenges like this, it’s people like us who can turn
things around. Here’s a few ways we did just that this past year:
1.. We came together to demand a new approach to farming in Europe,
calling for a better deal for people and the planet. From donating to cool
protest actions in Brussels, we got our messages in front of the European
Commission - the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) favours agribusiness, not
Europeans.
2.. We pushed back when agricultural giants tried to fence off our natural
world for profit by claiming ownership of dozens of crops – Pairing
in-person protests with social media outcry to show the true scale of
opposition.
3.. We ensured that legal action could get underway when the Greek police
fired tear gas on people at the border – Putting resources behind a joint
complaint to the EU Commission to start an infringement procedure against
Greece.
These were big bold moves we made. But, they only worked because we had the
resources to move fast. This will not be possible without the small
sustaining donations that keep us secure.
So, will you please start chipping in regularly today? Even a small amount -
like €1 or €2 a week - would really make a difference.

Thank you,
Thomas (Belgium) on behalf of WeMove Europe
PS: Asking for donations is never fun, but receiving them keeps our
community alive. That’s why I ask. It’s a critical time for Europe - how our
leaders choose to emerge from this pandemic will define our future. If you
can donate, your contribution will help keep us agile and equipped to keep
campaigning for a better Europe.
WeMove Europe is an independent and values-based organisation that seeks to
build people power to transform Europe in the name of our community, future
generations and the planet.
