Independent Environmental Fellowship Program
The Independent Environmental Fellowship
Program (IEFP) is designed to bring environmentally engaged professionals
and community leaders from across Russia to examine grassroots environmental
stewardship efforts in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Once in D.C.,
participants will meet and collaborate with local organizations and experts
on their approaches to sustaining the environment through best practices.
Participants will also have the opportunity to explore American culture
through visits to sites of cultural importance across the nation’s capital.
Do you know a Russian community leader that
would benefit from this fellowship? Share with them details about the
program and the application link here and the program VK page here. The
deadline to apply is January 24, 2022 at 23:59 MSK.
Questions can be sent to info at iefp.info.
What is Your Audience Thinking? Listening
Methods to Gain Support for Your Mission
Have you ever pondered the following
question: "What does our audience think about our organization?" Your
mission is your top priority, but if you don't know how your audience
perceives it you may struggle to gain their support. In this session
sponsored by the Nonprofit Learning Lab, Emily Taylor from teenyBIG will
share why it is so important to listen to your audience and use that
information to build momentum for your work.
Register here to learn more on Monday,
December 20 at 11:00 AM EST.
Program Highlights
Partnership Projects
From collaborating on a children’s storybook
app to working in some of the greatest museums in Russia, former Partnership
Project partner Vera Shamaeva has had an incredible life journey – and she
credits her time with SEE as fundamental to discovering her life’s passion.
Read our story on Vera and her time at SEE and beyond here.
Independent Professionals
Our Independent Professionals have generated
incredible impact among various communities in Russia and developed a
variety of resources focused on inclusive camp management, expanding access
to inclusive places and services for families with children with
disabilities, and best practices in environmental education for children.
Interested in learning more about their
projects? Visit our INP page on our SEE website here, where you can learn
more about their projects and download copies of community resources
generated by our fellows.
