EU, Africa
Officials from the World Health Organization

coronavirus as cases climb in both places. Dr. Hans Kluge, WHO regional
director for Europe, this week welcomed news of multiple positive vaccine
trial results, but noted that equitable distribution of a vaccine around the

Agencies seek Tigray cease-fire amid growing
crisis
More than 30,000 people have fled violence
in Ethiopia's Tigray region across the border into Sudan -- a number that
could climb to 200,000 in the coming months -- and communications and access
restrictions in the region are hampering humanitarian aid access, United
Nations officials say. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees is appealing
for a cease-fire so aid can be delivered, while other UN agencies have
launched a $200 million appeal to fund shelter, food and care for refugees
fleeing into Sudan.Full Story: Reuters (11/20), The Associated Press
