Hey there,

Unlike some other tech companies, Apple has complied with the government's 
censorship demands in order to operate in China. The company has admitted to 
removing hundreds of apps in China at the request of the government --  
including at least 1000 "virtual private network" apps. These remain crucial 
for vulnerable activists to evade censorship, surveillance, and political 
backlash.
