            International Rivers leads important organizing and advocacy to 
protect rivers, led by brilliant staff based in Asia, Africa, and Latin 
America. We are in a strong financial position and continue to evolve our 
organization to meet the needs of our international campaigns (such as our 
campaign for permanent legal protections of rivers recently featured in the 
New York Times).

            Our new executive director will be a champion for rivers and 
river communities, with the expertise to unite and guide our successful
