e law!

You and I are the last generation that can stop our natural world collapsing beyond the point of no return.

Will you sign the official petition calling on the EU to stop the use of all synthetic pesticides by 2035? Together we need to gather 1 million signatures to force the EU to consider legislating to save our bees and natural ecosystems.

Toxic pesticides have helped choke out half the planet’s insects in the past 50 years -- including 23 bee species. But, Vladimir, you can still help to turn this around.

SumOfUs is teaming up with beekeepers, farmers and scientists to take the first steps towards a completely pesticide-free Europe.

You can help gather 1 million signatures on a new European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) that will force the EU to consider a new law to transform Europe’s food and farming system, so that farmers, bees and biodiversity thrive in harmony.

It’s a two step process as it’s an official EU initiative, but it only takes two minutes.

Add your name to the Europe-wide initiative to save bees and farmers from toxic pesticides

The UN has warned that the window of opportunity to stop the breakdown of the world's climate and ecosystems is closing fast. Natural spaces in Germany have lost over 70% of their insect populations in the last 27 years.

But farmers are trapped in a distorted market. They’re financially reliant on spraying huge amounts of pesticides on large monoculture farms. These pesticides weaken their soil, harm their health and are wiping out bees and birds on an unprecedented scale.

Farmers shouldn’t be priced out of farming in harmony with nature. By signing this European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI), you can support a radical new plan to reform the agriculture industry -- by phasing out all synthetic pesticides by 2035 and helping farmers to move to small scale, diverse and sustainable farming.

If we collect over a million signatures the EU has to come up with a response. This was how 3 million of us managed to help derail the disastrous TTIP trade deal in 2017, and how 1.6 million of us may soon force the EU to end industrial farms’ cruel practice of caging animals.

Add your name now and push the EU to save our natural world from intensive farming!

If there was ever a time to pass an ambitious initiative like this one, it’s now. Together, SumOfUs members like you have persuaded the EU to ban some of the worst bee-killing pesticides. You were the ones who helped to push the EU to ban three of Bayer and Syngenta’s bee-harming neonicotinoid pesticides last year -- and got a fourth, thiacloprid, added to the list last month, after mounting evidence it was dangerous to bees and farm workers.

Now, we need to finish what we started.

This initiative is a chance to end all toxic pesticide use and transform our farming system into one that benefits both bees and the people who depend on them. But it won’t succeed unless we take advantage of the momentum we have now -- so, Vladimir, will you sign and make this launch huge?
