The future we want is bright ☀️
Mark your calendars! The C40 World Mayors Summit will be held in Copenhagen on October 9th-12th!
In March, more than one million young people participated in thousands of climate strikes all around the world. The next global day of action is May 24th – learn how to get involved at fridaysforfuture.org
These young climate strikers know that the climate crisis requires urgent and immediate action at a global scale. C40 cities around the globe recognize this urgency – many are already feeling the impact of climate change. Our mayors are taking action and have adopted ambitious climate action plans in line with the Paris Agreement, but there is more for all of us to do.

🗽 New York City's buildings are going green
NYC is taking action & delivering on C40's Net Zero Carbon Buildings Declaration. By 2030, buildings over 25,000 square feet will cut emissions by 40% and 80% by 2050. Read the city's press release to learn more.
🎉 The mayors of Nanjing, Chengdu, and Qingdao committed to delivering their share of the Paris Agreement
Earlier this month they became the first Chinese cities to join a coalition of over 70 C40 cities from across the globe committed to bold climate action. Read the press release.
🙌 20 Danish municipalities now have the opportunity to update or develop ambitious climate action plans with the help of C40
