Hans-Josef Fell in Ukraine and Russia
On June 7th Hans-Josef Fell, the Energy Watch Group’s President went to 
Ukraine where he met with the counseling team around President Selenskyj who 
had asked for his support in drafting a new law to advance the expansion of 
renewable energies in the country. Additionally, he was asked to speak at 
the Ukrainian International Economic Humanitarian Forum about Effective 
Energy Strategies and his past experience in energy politics and expanding 
renewable energies.

In Russia, at the 3rd Skolkovo Climate and Energy Transition Conference Fell 
gave a speech about the urgent necessity of a global transition to 100% 
renewable energies and spoke with the special envoy of President Putin, 
Ruslan Edelgeriyev about a potential plan for a Russian Energy Transition. 
Edelgeriyev announced that Russia will soon ratify the Paris Climate 
Agreement and additionally pass a climate law.
