                        A new POLITICO/Morning Consult Poll taken in the immediate aftermath of two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio found that a majority of all voters support banning assault weapons. Over 86% of Democrats would back such a ban, and over 55% of GOP voters would too. If the majority of Americans support stricter gun control, why won't Congress act?
